“This is a movement, this is a revolution”…Cesare Salemi speaking at the end of @_grainz_ #GrAinNZ2019 in #Trentham Australia. And this beautiful sourdough loaf, held by the marvellous @jobarrett and baked by one of Australia’s most inspiring bakers @veganbaker Iain Banfield in his #alanscottoven, was in essence all that this gathering hoped to be, and was.

How extraordinary, how utterly freaking magical these past days at #GrAinNZ have been. From around the world, meeting up in rural Australia at the historic woodfired 150 year old #scotchoven at @redbeardhistoricbakery were 300 top notch artisan bakers, soulful grain growers, passionate scientists, exciting independent millers, chefs and home cooks drawn together to learn from each other and plan a better sustainable future.

It’s going to take me days to unpack all that I’ve witnessed and been moved by. So this is my first post to say thank you to everyone at @_grainz_ for letting us share this time together.
