Spent a very sweet morning in Bermondsey baking with Piotr @pioklos as a surprise for his birthday. Chris who runs @giddygrocer, one of those marvellous grocers where you want to eat everything, asked if I’d spend a morning with Piotr, who I’d known of since his days at @anchorhopecut. Chris has these dessert apples from a tree in her garden, so that suggested we roast them with bay leaves and brown sugar, then mix them with a fresh blackberry purée for the pie. The crust is my apple pie crust from @goodfoodau.
