Ok, not quite a salad dinner but went for a walk around Tokyo and found this tavern #izakaya that reminded me a lot of @st.john.restaurant as much as @kilnsoho @bellytimber, called #echigoyayasokichi #越後屋八十吉, very taken with it. Sadly got stuck with the English menu but will try and return to delve into the board on the bar in front of me.
Had grilled pork and salted dried mackerel, both cooked over the #binchotan #備長炭 charcoal grill, delicious. Drinking #shochu purely to help me sleep, as you can imagine.
