Now we must campaign that @theboywhobakes next book is a cookie book because that man knows his cookies. Made these chocolate chip cookies from Edd’s recipe on his website which combines lots of idea out there – using browned butter, banging the tray to create during baking to give this crumpled rippled effect, using brown sugar, great vanilla – to create this fantastic cookie. I added pecan nuts and used Lidl’s “dark milk chocolate” that has a flavour between dark and milk that I like. Only made half the recipe which gives you 10 big cookies at 70g each (unbaked weight). Used raw dark brown cane sugar, which as @billingtonsuk well tell you, has a much more pronounced molasses flavour. So the cookies aren’t overly sweet-tasting.
