Last Sunday was a cake extravaganza workshop at @prahranesntl Melbourne, from buttercreams to ganaches to lemon curd to peanut butter to coconut, banana and more. Dependable @kitchenaidausnz @kitchenaid_uk machines were the workhouses they have the reputation for, whisking batches of meringue for hours on end and staying cool throughout. A fab team of bakers at the workshop, fully of spunk and curiosity, and I was overwhelmed to meet legendary Australian/Italian pastry cook Loretta Sartori. It was a very high calorie day all-round.
