Just a week ago we were together at @_grainz_ in Trentham Victoria, celebrating Australian small scale grain farming and milling together with an extraordinary bunch of bakers old and young, with me thinking just how special a moment it was.

So I finally got a chance to reawaken the 120 year old #barmbread recipe I first found in the archives of London’s @britishlibrary and bake it in the 150 year old woodfired Scotch oven at John & Jude’s inspiring @redbeardhistoricbakery. Overwhelmed that so many people came to listen while I spoke crazy with excitement about this forgotten old method that was once the mainstay of British & Australian bread making, and buzzing that I’d soon complete the circle and see the barm bread through to its final loaf. Thank you to everyone who came along and made #grainz2019 a pleasure to take part in
Thank you to @noniesfood for the picture of me speaking at the workshop
