Had a fantastic dinner tonight at @Olde_Goa, in Norbury, a family restaurant of the sort that seem to be vanishing around the world. Only knew about it thanks to @jonathandnunn’s piece in @eater and Taste Cooking.

@Savio_Azaredo, chef, with his mother-in-law Connie and family cook and run it, and as Connie said to me “this isn’t really a restaurant, it’s our family’s kitchen”. Not sure anyone needs more recommendation than that. Now if you want to eat there you’ll need to get in quickly as they’re closing for-good on August 30th.

Started with crab and fish cutlets, then #sorpotel (pork offal and belly in a spiced braise), #goanfishcurry, kidney bean #xacutti, breads and rice. Delicious, about £50 for the three of us (byo alcohol ). Will try to go again before the last day!
