Had a brilliant day in Tokyo with a packed house of fellow marmalade makers for my preserving workshop together with @yawatahama_marmalade_festival @marmaladeawards in Japan. Lots of questions, lots of jars bought in to taste and do mini appraisals of and most of all share the knowledge we had with each other. Then in the evening it was one final special dinner thanks to @britishpride and chef Rie and her fab team. I did my bit too: made a #mikanorange drizzle cake with swirls of Mikan icing, and black sesame ginger cake with fresh #Ehime #iyokan marmalade on top. Lots to talk about, and great company too. And a chance to meet some of the new judges for May 2020’s competition, like Chef Tomoko @tomoko.tu from @rosebakery_japan ????
