Bought back a big haul of seaweed from Japan this visit. The first one I’m eating is the famous Naruto Wakame seaweed that grows near the whirlpools of the #NarutoStrait, in Tokushima prefecture Shikoku, the island where the @yawatahama_marmalade_festival is held. Have been eating more seaweed this year, absolutely influenced by these frequent trips working in Japan but also after finding some ancient packets of @clearspringuk dried seaweed in the back of the cupboard and finding were fine years past their sell-by date.
Very easy to use: just soak in cool water until soft, in the case of this Naruto seaweed. Typically you might eat it in #misosoup. For me I make it into a salad and dress it with cider vingar and sesame oil. Will post more next…
