A day judging all the big food retailer’s best premium #christmaspudding for @whichuk, across at @orwells_rest with the supremely talented @oxonchef @chef_simpson (from #greatbritishmenu 2018 and #husbandandhusband partners in life), together with the lovely Patrick @moreartisan, the brilliant Suzy @suzypelta and me, together with Chris and the team from Which magazine who carefully arranged our utterly blind-tasting of the puddings to ensure utter fairness (amazingly complex the set up). And all I can tell you is…I’ll be looking forward to buying a pudding this year but can say nowt more. You’ll have to wait until Which comes out in November to find out the scores. Afterwards Liam @oxonchef rustled up some fine salads – fennel, radish and pear; plus their own house-grown tomatoes with mozzarella and herbs – that were mighty fine.
