Cooked a pot of Japanese rice last night (300g rice, soaked/washed/drained, cooked with 360g water), with 2019 Tariki Rice from #Uwacho #Ehime grown with Mikan orange compost. Very clean bright flavour. Just before lockdown I bought some bags back from #Yawatahama #Ehime when visiting for the planned @yawatahama_marmalade_festival. It was husband @whitehouseofwhitehouse’s suggestion to have the bbq ribs I’d cooked (my new secret amazing recipe, produces the juiciest ‘fall off the bone’ flavoursome back ribs with little shrinkage, will tell you when I see you ) with steamed Japanese rice. I could eat it all again for breakfast, so good.
